KITING ACTIVITIES
 
Barra Power Kiting offer a complete range of kite lessons from basic beginner through to intermediate level in all aspects of land based kite sports.  Both Nick and Kay are fully qualified PKSF instructors in Power Kiting, Kite Buggying and Kite Landboarding, and carry full public liability insurance.
 

By keeping our group sizes small, on average 2 clients per instructor, we can pace the lesson to suit individual needs and ability levels.

 

We will not teach if there isn’t any wind, and conversely if there is too much!  You can check the weather yourself by using the weather links on our site.  The decision on whether the lesson takes place is always based upon your safety and the safety of those around you.

Introduction to Kite Buggying

Complete Beginner

Using a 3 wheeled kite buggy and power kite to travel along the beach

  • As above plus:

  • Flying skills walking and sitting,

  • Controlling the buggy,

  • Basic kite and buggy maintenance

£65 per person

Kite Buggying

Competent Power Kite Flyer

2 hours

As above

  • Assessment of Flying Skills,

  • Buggying Techniques as above

£40 per person

Kite Buggy Improver

Kite Buggier with basic skill level

Hourly

Improve Buggying skills

  • Introduction to travelling upwind, power turns, skid stops, travelling backwards

£25 per hour (one to one coaching only)

Introduction

to Kite Landboarding

Complete Beginner

5 hours

Using a kite Landboard (all terrain skateboard with big pneumatic tyres) and power kite to move along the beach

  • Introduction to Power Kiting Skills,

  • Flying skills walking,

  • Controlling the Landboard,

  • Basic kite and Landboard maintenance

£65 per person

Kite Landboarding

Competent Power Kite Flyer

2 hours

As above

  • Assessment of Flying Skills,

  • Kite Landboarding

  • Techniques as above

£40 per person
 

You will need to bring the following:-

1. Warm clothing (with full arm and leg covering),

2. Eye protection (sunglasses etc),

3. Sensible footwear with adequate ankle support,

4. Sunscreen protection.

 

Barra Power Kiting will provide:-

1. All required safety equipment, pads, helmets, water proof overalls (if required),

2. All Power Kiting equipment, Buggies and Landboards, 

3. A Safe, Enjoyable, Relaxed, Unforgettable Kiting Experience.

 

PLEASE NOTE

Under 18's must have written Parental consent.

Under 16's must be accompanied by a parent.
