The purpose of this policy is to ensure, in
so far as it is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and
welfare of all staff members, participants and all others
affected by Barra Power Kiting (B.P.K.) activities.
Within this policy B.P.K. will endeavour,
where reasonably practicable;

To provide and maintain equipment and
systems of work that are safe and free from risks to health. In
particular to regularly inspect, test and record the condition
of all power kiting and auxiliary safety equipment.

To provide such information,
instructions, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure
the health and safety of staff and clients, through the
establishment of training plans, regular job reviews with
instructors, staff meetings and assessment of instructor
competence.

To maintain the place of work and
access to and egress from it in a condition that is safe and
with minimum risk to health commensurate with the undertaking of
power kiting operations. Achieving this through staff meetings
and ongoing risk assessment.

To provide such protective clothing
and equipment as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at
work of staff and clients.
B.P.K. will ensure that the safety policy is
regularly reviewed and developed as necessary, and all
instructors contribute to this process and that all information
is disseminated to allow all instructors and clients to manage
their health and safety effectively. |
